About Us

Keys to Kenosha is a one-day celebration that unlocks Kenosha’s rich history and architecture by inviting the public inside spaces that are rarely open for exploration. Inspired by events like Doors Open Milwaukee and Open House Chicago, Keys to Kenosha offers a unique opportunity to tour more than 50 historic buildings, cultural landmarks, centers of worship, creative spaces, and hidden gems throughout the area — highlighting the stories behind the doors and deepening community pride, while drawing new energy and visitors to the city.

No tickets are required. Keys to Kenosha is a self-serve tour, allowing attendees to explore as few or as many spaces they wish during the event hours. Each venue will have unique tour offerings, and additional add-on experiences will be published as the event draws closer.

This inaugural event is a partnership between the City of Kenosha, Kenosha County, Visit Kenosha, Kenosha Area Business Alliance, and many other local organizations. This new event invites residents and visitors alike to step inside places they may have passed a hundred times, but never truly experienced.
